Kids Make a Bird House
Perfect class for kids ages 6-14. The kids birdhouse class includes all the materials. Kids will learn how to use a tape measure, miter saw, clamps, hammer and nails. It will build confidence and act as a great introduction into making something with your hands. Everyone will walk away with a completed bird house! Parents are encouraged to stay, especially with the younger kids, but it's not required.

Awesome Cutting Board
In this class you'll learn the basics of what goes into a wood cutting board. You will be provided with a glued-up cutting board blank consisting of multiple wood species that you can choose from, learn how to flatten it with a planer, route an edge using a router table or hand-held router, sand through multiple grits with water-popping, and apply a food-safe finish. You will take home the cutting board at the end of class and be able to use it in your home or give it as a gift!

Kids Sliding Puck Game!
Let's make a sliding puck board game! This is a really fun game to play with kids or adults! We'll make this game from pine and plywood and use many tools in the shop. We'll learn about problem solving and adjusting our build as we go. This is perfect for kids ages 6 and up! Parents are encouraged to stay but not required. Your kids will be able to take the board home with them at the end of class!

Women's Intro to Woodworking!
Get introduced to several tools in the shop that will open the gates to your new woodworking passion! In this class, you will be using a bandsaw, various sanders, and food-safe finish. You will be able to ask any questions you have and with guidance, build something with your own hands that you can use in your home every day! This is a great beginner class with no experience necessary. The class will be taught by one of our amazing members, Ronda Cavanagh!

Homeowners Do It Yourself
1st Class - Drywall August 16: 1pm-3pm In this class we'll show you how to hang drywall, secure it to studs, hang something if you need to miss a stud, patch a hole etc. September 13: 1pm-3pm This class will be all about homeowner tools that you likely have at home. Measuring, marking, miter saw, circular saw, tips and tricks, etc! October 4: 1pm-3pm This class will be focusing on baseboard molding, how to measure and cut it, inside corners vs outside corners, how to get a perfect corner, patch nail holes and prepare for paint! After these classes you'll be a DIY rockstar, able to take on all your basic tasks around your house!

These specialized classes run once we have enough interest. Pay a small deposit to lock your seat — we schedule the class when the minimum number of makers sign up. You're refunded automatically if it doesn't fill in time.

Sushi Board and Chopsticks!
You can select from multiple pieces of wood to use and will work with multiple tools in the shop to create a gorgeous sushi board with sliding dovetailed feet. You will use one of our jigs and a hand plane to make your own set of chopsticks! How cool is that!? You'll likely have time to make multiple sets of chopsticks!

Make a Krenov Smoothing Plane
This class is across 2 consecutive days taught by the incredible Ashley Pieper from Shallow Creek Woodcraft!! Make your own wooden body hand plane! In this intermediate level, or beginner with solid foundational skills, class we will take a blank to a functional Krenov style smoothing plane. We will be making an 11-inch long plane with a 1-3/4″ iron. Each student will come away with their own handmade wooden plane, and the confidence and knowledge of how to build any size plane in the future. Students will gain an understanding of functionality, geometry and set up of planes. Students will also have a brief sharpening basics demo.

Cornhole Boards!
Come make a set of cornhole boards! The cost of the class will include a set of bags and all materials. You will learn how to break down plywood with a track saw, use the table saw to get to final dimensions, a drill with a large hole saw and how to use it safely, a bandsaw and sander for shaping the feet, and learn how to problem solve certain issues that always come up with a simple project. We'll play a game at the end to win a prize!

Chip and Dip Serving Tray
We will be turning a chip & dip serving tray on the lathe that will include a removable ramekin that can be cleaned after use. You will improve your skills on the lathe by carving the center opening to fit the ramekin just right. You will finish it off with some quality oil/beeswax food-safe finish and be able to show it off at your next party. Class will be about 4 hours long and we will provide some snacks since you'll be turning for a while.
