Kids Make a Bird House
Perfect class for kids ages 6-14. The kids birdhouse class includes all the materials. Kids will learn how to use a tape measure, miter saw, clamps, hammer and nails. It will build confidence and act as a great introduction into making something with your hands. Everyone will walk away with a completed bird house! Parents are encouraged to stay, especially with the younger kids, but it's not required.

Awesome Cutting Board
In this class you'll learn the basics of what goes into a wood cutting board. You will be provided with a glued-up cutting board blank consisting of multiple wood species that you can choose from, learn how to flatten it with a planer, route an edge using a router table or hand-held router, sand through multiple grits with water-popping, and apply a food-safe finish. You will take home the cutting board at the end of class and be able to use it in your home or give it as a gift!

Women's Introduction to Woodworking
Get introduced to several tools in the shop that will open the gates to your new woodworking passion! In this class, you will build a beautiful plant stand from Spanish Cedar using half-lap joints and dowels. You will be able to ask any questions you have and with guidance, build something with your own hands that you can take home and display proudly. This is a great beginner class with no experience necessary. The class will be taught by one of our amazing members, Ronda Cavanaugh!

Homeowners Do It Yourself
1st Class - Drywall June 7: 10am-12pm In this class we'll show you how to hang drywall, secure it to studs, hang something if you need to miss a stud, patch a hole etc. July 12: 1pm-3pm This class will be focusing on baseboard molding, how to measure and cut it, inside corners vs outside corners, how to get a perfect corner, patch nail holes and prepare for paint! Aug 16: 1pm-3pm This class will be all about homeowner tools that you likely have at home. Measuring, marking, miter saw, circular saw, tips and tricks, etc! After these classes you'll be a DIY rockstar, able to take on all your basic tasks around your house!

Kids Make a Lightsaber
Ages 8–14 · Turn a wooden lightsaber on the lathe. Pick your color, finish it, and duel your friends.

Make a Krenov Smoothing Plane
This class is across 2 consecutive days taught by the incredible Ashley Pieper from Shallow Creek Woodcraft!! Make your own wooden body hand plane! In this intermediate level, or beginner with solid foundational skills, class we will take a blank to a functional Krenov style smoothing plane. We will be making an 11-inch long plane with a 1-3/4″ iron. Each student will come away with their own handmade wooden plane, and the confidence and knowledge of how to build any size plane in the future. Students will gain an understanding of functionality, geometry and set up of planes. Students will also have a brief sharpening basics demo.

Make a Classic Woodworker's Mallet
In this class, we're going to make a classic woodworkers mallet! In the first class we're going to mill rough lumber using multiple tools in the shop. You'll mark, measure, and cut, learning essential techniques in the shop to make flat and square lumber. You'll end the first day by gluing up multiple layers to create your turning blank. On day 2 you'll take your blank, learn how to mount it to the lathe and make your way through various turning tools to shape and carve the shape of your mallet. You'll add some oil, polish it up, and take it home! This beautiful mallet will always be in your toolbox that you can hand down to your kids one day. This is a great class for new woodworkers as well as those trying to hone their skills.
